join the fast progressing film festival At the invitation of the 2003 Guangzhou International Documentary Film Festival organizing committee, Mr. Jiang Lian Hao from Ars Cives Creativity and Communication in Macao have joined the project to provide design, along with English for Asia who will provide the translation services. The festival¡¯s organizing committee traveled to Macao at the beginning of September 2003. The committee met with Mr. Jiang Lian Hao of Ars Cives Creativity and Communication, a well-respected design company in Macao, and the company went on to design the festival logo and brochure. In addition to being the General Manager and Creative Director of the company Mr. Jiang is also the president of the Association of Macao Designers and was the cultural advisor to the Macao SAR Government. He has some remarkable talents in the areas of graphic, exhibition and fashion design. Mr. Jiang feels it is a great honor for him to devote some of his time and talent to the film festival.

for Asia are responsible for the translation of all festival information
from Chinese to English. English for Asia¡¯s Director in Macao, Mr.
Timothy McClenahan, visited Guangzhou and met with the organizing
committee at the beginning of September. They exchanged views, plans,
and discussed a work schedule in detail. The translation will be
carried out in groups, each group consisting of one translator and
one proofreader. The designated translator will ensure consistency
in style and the proofreader, an English language specialist, can
further follow through on this. The translation groups have already
started work and all the documents being translated are exchanged
with ease and efficiency over the Internet.
