LONI DING, DFA.
Veteran producer for several decades of national public television
programs. Faculty member U.C. Berkeley, Asian/American and Comparative
Ethnic Studies. Teaches media analysis and hands-on video production
NATIONAL TELEVISION PROGRAMS
Loni's work has been broadcast on four
continents. Her 16 national public television programs to date include:
600 Millennia: China's History Unearthed, Bean Sprouts, Cantata de
Santa Maria de Iquique, Willie Lobo, Manchild, Nisei Soldier: Standard
Bearer for an Exiled People The Color of Honor: The Japanese American
Soldier in WWII.

TEACHING
U.C. Berkeley, Ethnic Studies Department, originated courses on
media analysis and hands-on production (1980 to present). Has taught
sociology at U.C. Berkeley( 1958-1967), and art history at San Francisco
Art Institute (1963).
Visiting Faculty member : Cornell University (Asian American Studies
and Theater Depts), Syracuse University (Communications Dept.),
University of Colorado (Art Dept), and Mills College (Sociology).
Provost lecturer, State University NY 2000.
Appointed 'Distinguished Visiting Professor' U.C. Santa Cruz, 1998.
