Brief Introduction (About Us)

China International Communication Production Center (CICC) is an international institution for dissimilating Film/TV cultures. As a production base and a switch center of overseas-oriented Film/TV under direct administration of the State Council Information Office, it is engaged in organizing, scheming, shooting and producing TV/Films orienting to overseas. It is also responsible for introducing the overseas counterparts into China shooting and producing TV/Films and organizing international cultural exchange events in the TV/Film circle. It keeps extensive cooperation with the major media overseas.

Tenets
1. To build a communication platform by audio-visual means for the world to better understand China and for China to closer embrace the world;
2. To gain both social and economic efficiency to the maximum through sincere cooperation with the peers at home and abroad in light of the win-win sprite.

Business lines
1. TV/Films Production The TV/films programs produced by the CICC include: feature films, documentaries films, TV column programs, TV documentaries, TV special topics and TV series, etc.
2. International Cooperation The exchange and cooperation of the CICC with the overseas Medias or TV/Film production institutions include: jointly shooting and producing TV programs or films; exchanging TV programs or films or the information concerned and jointly organizing international TV/Film displaying events.
3. Audio-Visual Publishing As an important overseas-oriented TV/Films communication institution in China, the CICC boasts an independent right of Audio-visual publishing. It shall integrate the TV/Film resources in China at first; and then while increasing its shares in the domestic market to a considerable extent step by step, it will further sharpen its international competition edges to develop a brand-new overseas communication market, including the overseas Chinese market.

Major Tracking Records
The CICC has three TV columns telecast at CCTV-4 (the international channel of China Central TV Station) and Phoenix TV and other overseas TV stations at the regular time.
1. China In Change: an integrated TV column with the special subject reflecting the great changes in economy and society of China today. With 15 minutes per unit, more than 100 units have been telecast of total 5,000 minutes since its inception in 1993.
2. Essence Of China: a cultural documentary column displaying inheriting and developing the traditional Chinese cultures at present; and letting the overseas audiences better understand China through its splendid cultures and the cultural development of China today. With 15 minutes per unit, several hundreds units have been telecast since its inception in 1995.
3. China Portraits: a documentary column about the status and ways of the Chinese life, as well as the concept and emotion of the Chinese people today. Through telling stories of individuals, it reveals in depth the variation of the society in China. The length is 30 minutes per unit.
