Born at 1962 in Tehran, He has a B.A in theoligie.Between 1973-1976 he has studied cinema in "Center for development of children and young adults”. In 1977 he started to make 8 mm films and from 1979 till 1983 he worked in "Training center for amateur film makers”. He has worked at "Farabi cinema foundation" from 1983 till 1995 and “Foreign department of Iranian TV “from 1995 till 1997.

During 1997-2001, he has worked as director of production of Iranian Young Cinema Society (IYCS) where he has produced 700 short films. From 2001 till now, he has been the president of Documentary & Experimental Film Center (DEFC) and Iranian Young Cinema Society (IYCS).
