“Over the Land” is one of the most successful programs produced by the Guangzhou Dacheng Movie and Television Co. Ltd. The program uses a high cultural standard focusing on current events. Its content includes geography, humanism, scenery, environment, music, sports, food and travel information. The photographic team from the “Over the Land” project went to different parts of the world in order to integrate new documentary styles and methods into the program. The film uses unique angles to look at information and to open up a new window for its audience. The program has been broadcast on Guangzhou TV, Guangdong TV, Guangdong Cable TV, Shenzhen TV Station and also on the European and North American Channels of Phoenix TV and has received national and provincial awards.

The company has participated in organizing, planning and producing of large-scale cultural activities including the 2000 to 2002 Guangdong School Music Festival, a series of cultural activities for the 30th Anniversary of the Establishment of Formal Relationship between China and Australia in 2002 and the forthcoming 2003 Guangzhou International Documentary Seminar.

Since 1998, the company has been collaborating with Guangdong TV to organize tourist and cultural activities and music programs, producing 250 shows. The company also works with the Art Faculty of the Guangzhou Art Academy to provide cultural programs and provide movie and television production programs for third and forth year students.
